The Southern Regional Education Board is offering a new national professional development workshop that will help educators adapt their content for any delivery format. Gain the skills and confidence needed to plan and deliver high-quality instruction face-to-face, online or in a blended setting.
Five 2.5-hour sessions will target the essential tech tools and instructional strategies needed to provide equitable access to engaging online learning experiences for every student, including special education students and English language learners. Each day at the end of the training there will be 30 minutes available for questions and answers.

August 31: Learn in a Virtual Environment
Explore different components of high quality virtual instruction.
September 1: Planning for Virtual Instruction
Unpack the prep work needed for successful lessons and learn best practices for online instruction
September 2: Using Virtual Platform Basics
Learn how and when to use features like chats, Q&As, surveys, annotation features, whiteboards, breakout
rooms and more.
September 3: Using additional Web-Based Tools
Experiment with tech tools that interest students and create artifacts of learning. Explore using Classkick,
Padlet, Kahoot, Lino-it and more.
September 4: Supporting Exceptional Learners
Engage special education students and English language learners with tools like Immersive Reader, Google
Translate and video.
NOTE: There is a fee of $250 for this series.
