Advance OTES 2.0 Teacher Bootcamp is a pilot initiative of HSTW NE Ohio Region and Trumbull Career and Technical Center endorsed by the HSTW/MMGW CTE Task Force. Session 2: September 4 and Session 3: March 5, 2021 will be held virtually from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. through a Zoom Meeting. All HSTW/MMGW district and building leaders are encouraged to attend and observe the process of preparing teachers for implementing OTES 2.0. TCTC teachers are in the second year of implementation of OTES 2.0.

Objectives of Session 2:

  • Compare the OTES 1.0 to OTES 2.0 Teacher Performance Rubric by rating levels with an emphasis on the themes in the Accomplished teacher’s classroom
  • Connect two types of quality data to measure student growth by creating individual teacher “data stories”
  • Engage teachers in a selecting a set of reflection questions (connected to the entire rubric) to refer back to during the whole evaluation process

Objectives of Session 3

  • Focus on celebrating “what has worked” for teachers (i.e. Professional Growth Plan; how they are building a data story)
